Our Mission

Why we exist as a church: To promote the spiritual life of the members and by the Grace of God endeavor to bring the lost into a saving knowledge of Christ.

We believe that Jesus describes the mission and purpose of the Church in two key scriptures often called the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.

"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22: 37-40

"Jesus said, 'Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28: 19-20

Alert Covenant Church exits:

1. To worship God (Love the Lord)

2. For ministry to others (Love your neighbor)

3. To spread the Good News of Jesus (make disciples)

4. For fellowship with God's family (baptizing them)

5. To educate (teaching them)

We have a commitment to the whole mission of the church. Our mission involves evangelism and Christian formation, as well as the benevolent ministries of compassion and justice in the face of suffering and oppression.
